How to get my own Medicare Card

If you are aged over 15 and enrolled in Medicare, you can get your own Medicare Card.

There are 2 steps to get your own card:

Step 1:

Use:

your Medicare online account through your MyGov account
the Express Plus Medicare mobile app

a copy or transfer form.

Step 2:

Medicare will send your Medicare Card to the address you have given them.

You can be listed on 2 Medicare Cards. For example, if you are over 15, you can have your own card and also be listed on your parents’ card.

You can also request to be removed from an existing Medicare Card.
