What is Union Health?

Union Health is a brand that sells private health insurance.


Is Union Health a registered health insurer?

No. Union Health is not a registered insurer.

Instead, TUH (Queensland Teachers’ Union Health Fund Limited) (a registered insurer) created the Union Health brand to market TUH’s health insurance policies to people who are members of other trade unions.


Who can join Union Health?

You can join Union Health if you are a current or former member of a recognised Australian trade union.

You can also join if you are a family member of an Australian union member. This includes if you are:

  • spouse or partner (current or former)
  • adult child
  • dependent child
  • grandchild
  • sibling.

Does Union Health offer Ambulance Cover?

Yes. In all states and territories except Queensland and Tasmania, Uni Health insurance offers emergency Ambulance Cover with Hospital Cover.

If you live in Queensland or Tasmania, you are covered by state government ambulance services.


Does Union Health let me claim online or via an app?

Yes. UniHealth allows you to claim via the Union Health App.
